Warehouse Supervisor (Evenings/Weekends) Vancouver, BC
Duties
In coordination with the Warehouse Manager, this position supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, transporting, stacking, shipping, and maintaining records in warehouse. Supervises labeling and casing or packing of materials or products and ensures all procedures are followed as per CSA Transportation's specifications. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be responsible to ensure that the highest level of customer service is achieved. In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the healthy and safety of the workplace.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have a high level of skill in coaching teams and working as a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of computer applications
- High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong sense of customer service and quality controls
- Works well with all levels of staff in the organization
- Advanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Forklift certification and applicable provincial certification
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and ability to ensure staff are following procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs required
- Able to learn quickly, problem solve and work efficiently
Education/Experience
- Minimum education, High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six months to one year previous warehouse experience required
- CITT Training with knowledge of cross border shipping and customs preferred
- First Aid Certification, WHMIS, Forklift and Transportation of Dangerous Goods training an asset
