Part-Time Warehouse Material Handler Vancouver, BC
Duties
Under general direction and supervision, performing general warehouse duties including, but not limited to: Load and unload merchandise as it is received or when it is being shipped. Perform other material handling activities such as shipping/receiving, loading, unloading, and inventory, consolidate LTL trailers effectively for inter-terminal movements, operate forklift, trucks, and/or tow motors, complete daily logs and verify freight and compare to the unloading reports and/or Bill of Lading, clean and maintain work area as per safety protocols.
As a result of our continued growth, we have the need for this position in our Vancouver Terminal located in Richmond, British Columbia.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly required
- Organized and punctual
- Works well in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
- Hardworking and reliable team player
- Able to learn quickly and work efficiently
- Able to write, speak and read English
- Flexible availability (shifts consist of days, evenings, nights, and weekends)
Education/Experience
- Minimum education, completion of grade 10 or equivalent
- Minimum one year previous warehouse experience required
- Valid Forklift certification and/or applicable certification
- Hazardous material training/certificate an asset
