Duties

Responsibilities include ensuring shipments are released in a timely and accurate manner adhering to all governmental policy and regulations. To be efficient, comprehensive and cost effective customs clearance service to clients and maintain database.

As a result of our continued growth, we have the need for this position in our Los Angeles Terminal located in Sante Fe Springs, California.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to resolve issues with win-win results
  • Knowledge of Customs and other Canada and US documentation requirements for dispatching
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to handle large volumes of work within tight deadlines 
  • Team player with a proven record for excellent customer service 
  • Excellent computer skills - Internet, Email, Microsoft Office suite 
  • Self-motivated, high energy team player 
  • Well developed problem-solving and negotiating skills 
  • Knowledge of Maddox TruckMate for Windows an asset

Education/Experience

  • Three months to 6 months experience in customs as a part of the transportation and logistics industry required
  • Minimum education, High School Diploma or equivalent; Post Secondary education an asset
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent designation an asset
